Children at least 4 years of age are invited to participate in Liturgy of the Word for Children on Sunday during the 9:30 AM Mass (see the Mass schedule on the front cover of the bulletin each week).

The children are sent forth from the assembly after the opening prayer and move to their own worship space upstairs.  The children hear the same first reading as the adults, but written for children to comprehend.  They participate by singing the psalm and the alleluia.  They stand for the Gospel and hear it proclaimed, then actively participate in a discussion.  They profess their faith and are asked for prayer intentions.  They children are then led back to the assembly and participate in the offertory procession.
