Description of the Group's Activities:

A sponsor gives support by being a representative of the parish community, and being with the catechumen at the various stages they go through on their journey to become full and active members of the Catholic Church.

Skills/talents needed from volunteers:

Basically, just being a good listener and having the time and presence to give.

Time commitment involved:

It depends on your involvement; just attendance at liturgies or more if attending the classes.

How this ministry can positively affect lives:

It's a blessing to see how these catechumens grow in their faith and confidence, to actually see the Holy Spirit work in their lives.
