Description of the Group's Activities:

Adult men and women serve at a parishioner's funeral. This Mass is usually celebrated in the morning.

Skills/talents needed from volunteers:

Adults who understand the importance of their presence to the bereaved family. Training is provided. Two servers are needed per funeral.

Time commitment involved:

One and a half hours. Scheduled on a rotating basis. Average of four times a year.

How this ministry can positively affect lives:

Being present to the bereaved family brings us closer to living our lives as a compassionate parishioner.
