Description of the Group's Activities:

We have nine baking teams, having captains and co-captains, depending on team size.  Each team is called upon in rotation, to bake for different social events at St. Regis Parish. All teams are called upon to bake for the Mardi Gras and parish festival.

Skills/talents needed from volunteers:

Volunteers are called upon to bake cookies, cakes, breads, candies, etc. The choice is up to the volunteer unless there is something specific about the event.

Time commitment involved:

Each volunteer is called on approximately three or four times a year, depending on social events.

How this ministry can positively affect lives:

When volunteers are called on to bake, they usually spend a few minutes discussing the planned event and perhaps discussing other things about St. Regis Parish.
