Description of the Group's Activities:

Fundraising to assist our sister parish in Mexico. Past fundraising projects have included an "outerwear fair" (used coat sale); bake sale and festival booth.

Skills/talents needed from volunteers:

None, other than a willingness to work a few hours every two to three months, and a desire to help others.

Time commitment involved:

Meetings are held to update us on activities in Mexico and to plan fundraising activities. These are held approximately every two months. Other time commitments would involve the fundraising activity, which usually only requires a few hours during the activity.

How this ministry can positively affect lives:

Not only are we making a difference in the lives of the people in Mexico, by providing them with a place to worship, but we are experiencing a feeling of satisfaction in doing so. We would hope that, at some point in the future, member(s) of the committee or our parish may be able to visit Valle Dorado and meet with the people we are helping.
