Description of the Group's Activities:

We follow the engaged encounter book and its exercises. We have discussions about our families and how we grew up. The engaged couple and sponsor couple develop a trust and rapport that allows for open and honest questions and discussions.

Skills/talents needed from volunteers:

Good listeners. Willingness to be open about your marriage and family and feelings. Be non-judgmental.

Time commitment involved:

One evening per week for five to six weeks.

How this ministry can positively affect lives:

This ministry gets the engaged couple thinking about what their married life will be like. It also shows an example of married/family life.
