Sleeping Bag Ladies

The Sleeping Bag Ladies meet on Mondays from 1-3pm from September to April to sew sleeping bags for the homeless from used blankets and bed spreads.  The sleeping bags are donated to the Intersection in McKeesport.  Only simple sewing skills are needed.  As long as you know how to pick up a needle and thread, you will be shown how to make simple stitches to assemble the sleeping bags.

Besides supplying the homeless with sleeping bags, it makes you realize what difficult circumstances some people live in daily. So many of these people have underlying problems that contribute to their way of life and must be treated with a sense of compassion.  Meeting each week also contributes to a fellowship with each other.

Come and join us for fun and fellowship.  All are welcome!
