V  Provides curriculum design and development for catechesis on all levels.

V  Selects texts and resources for parish programs.

V  Implements and directs the RCIA process, as well as affiliated personnel.

V  Develops policies regarding the total parish religious education program.

V  Recruits leaders and ministers for various formation programs.

V  Performs in-service development.

V  Creates catechetical activities for the liturgical seasons, such as Advent and Lent.

V  A member of the diocesan Children’s Liturgy of the Word training team.

V  A member of the diocesan worship commission.

V  Presenter for Pathways; adult faith formation

V  A member of the Seminarian Review Board.

V  Supports parish mission.

V  Promotes the parish pastoral plan.

V  Provides training, materials, personnel and trained leaders for all specific programs: elementary, youth, adult, RCIA.

V  Provides Catechesis preparation for sacraments: baptism, reconciliation, confirmation and Eucharist.

V  Facilitates Marriage Preparation and prepares the leaders

V  Provides guidance to all those involved in religious education and faith formation.

V  Executes in-service training for lay leaders.

V  Participates in staff planning sessions.
